R’Women’s Lobby Day is a University of California, Riverside–led advocacy convening dedicated to uplifting women-identifying–centered priorities through student-driven policy engagement. Rooted in UCR’s commitment to equity, gender justice, and inclusive leadership, the program creates space for students to collectively advocate on issues that disproportionately impact women and gender-marginalized communities—while remaining open and accessible to all students committed to advancing equity.
Hosted in a virtual and hybrid on-campus format, R’Women’s Lobby Day equips participants with foundational advocacy skills, issue education, and opportunities to engage directly with policymakers and community leaders. Through workshops, policy briefings, and structured advocacy activities, students gain the tools to translate lived experience into legislative action.
Run exclusively by UCR, the program centers local student leadership while connecting campus-based advocacy to broader state and federal policy conversations. R’Women’s Lobby Day affirms that gender-centered advocacy is not siloed work—it is essential to building a more just, accessible, and representative democracy.
