Transfer Student Advocacy Day is an annual program that brings transfer students across the 9 UC campuses to Sacramento for the opportunity to develop lobbying skills, learn more about issues affecting transfer students and California higher education, and directly engage elected officials on these issues.
Why attend the Transfer Advocacy Day?
Transfer students are a vital part of California’s higher education system — and your voice deserves to be heard where decisions are made. Transfer Advocacy Day is your opportunity to directly engage with policymakers, share your lived experiences, and advocate for policies that improve access, affordability, and equity for current and future transfer students.
By attending, you’ll gain hands-on advocacy experience, learn how state policy impacts transfer pathways and student success, and build community with fellow transfer students from across campuses. Whether you’re new to advocacy or already organizing on campus, this space is designed to empower you with the tools, confidence, and connections needed to create real change.
